In the temporarily occupied Crimea, men are being forcibly mobilized to take part in the war with Ukraine

Traditionally, the conscription campaign on the peninsula should start in April, but on March 29 in Simferopol it is planned to hold instructive meetings with the heads of conscription commissions, military commissars of districts and other officials and staff involved in the conscription campaign.

Crimeans are already actively receiving summonses.  To avoid criminal orders, men of military age are trying to leave the territory of the peninsula through Russia, as the road to the mainland of Ukraine is closed.

Among those forcibly sent to war with Ukraine are Crimean Tatars, who are unable to lay down their arms because of threats to use force against their relatives.

Forced mobilization is prohibited by international humanitarian law, Article 51 IV of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War  in its armed or auxiliary forces.

I appeal to the world community to respond to this fact in order to increase the rehabilitation pressure on the Russian Federation to liberate the entire territory of Ukraine from the invading troops and deoccupy the territories.
