The russian occupiers are mounting terror in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region

The rashists want to speed up a fake "referendum" in the Kherson region to announce the formation of another "people's republic".  Now the rashists have intensified preparations for appropriate measures.

The date of imitation of the will of the people was postponed to April 27.

After the formation of the “People's Republic of Kherson”, the invaders plan to organize the forced mobilization of the population for war with Ukraine.

At the same time, the occupiers set a goal to completely stop the humanitarian support of the region from the Ukrainian authorities.

In the village of Zolota Balka, Kherson region, representatives of the russian occupation forces held a meeting with the local population, stating that there would be no more "green corridors" and forbidding people to leave the village.

In addition, they warned that in case of shelling of their positions by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the russian invaders will start shelling the settlement.  The occupiers continue to patrol the apartments and conduct searches.

According to the National Police of Ukraine, 76 Ukrainian citizens were imprisoned and taken hostage during the occupation of the region in the Kherson region.  36 people have already been fired.

Initiation by the occupiers of the referendum is a gross violation of the right to choose and participate in governing one's state, established by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights of 1966, Protocol № 1 of the 1950 European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.

The terror of civilians in the occupied territories is a war crime as defined by the Statute of the International Military Tribunal and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, and a violation of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.

I appeal to the UN Commission for Investigation Human Rights Violations during Russia's military invasion of Ukraine to take into account these facts of crimes and human rights violations in Ukraine.
