Commissioner: Rashists again dispersed pro-Ukrainian rally in temporarily occupied Kherson

A rally for Ukraine and Ukrainian Kherson took place on Freedom Square in Kherson.

The occupiers tried to disperse it, using tear gas and light-noise checkers against peaceful unarmed protesters.  Doctors who help the wounded arrived at the rally site.

Rashists on a regular basis by force disperse peaceful rallies in the Kherson region.

The day before, the occupiers had been moving around the city during the day in order to stop any crowds, fearing that pro-Ukrainian actions had tarnished the picture painted by russian propaganda before the pseudo-referendum.

Such actions by the russian aggressors in the temporarily occupied territories are a war crime as defined by the Statute of the International Military Tribunal and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, and a violation of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.

I appeal to the UN Commission for Investigation Human Rights Violations during Russia's military invasion of Ukraine to take into account these facts of war crimes and human rights violations in Ukraine.

Kherson was, is and will be Ukrainian!
