In the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the mobilization of Ukrainian citizens for hostilities on the side of the aggressor state continues

In the Zaporizhia region, the russian occupiers banned men from entering the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities.

The enemy began forced mobilization into the ranks of the criminal "people's militia" in some temporarily occupied territories.  Men are periodically detained at checkpoints in Vasylivka.  There is also a census of males.

At the entrance to Melitopol at checkpoints, the russian occupiers force men to undress and offer to join the ranks of the Russian army

Similar proposals are voiced by the Russian military in Genichesk.

In addition, in Melitopol, collaborators provide russian militants with lists of apartments where men live.

Forced mobilization in Russian-occupied territories violates Article 51 of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, which strictly prohibits the occupying Power from forcing protected persons, ie those in conflict or non-nationals.  is to serve in its armed or auxiliary forces.

I appeal to the UN Commission for Investigation Human Rights Violations during Russia's Military Invasion of Ukraine and the expert mission set up by OSCE participating States under the Moscow Mechanism to take into account these facts of war crimes and human rights violations in Ukraine.
