The enemy is forcibly mobilizing residents of the temporarily occupied Izyum in the Kharkiv region to take part in the war against Ukraine

Due to lack of human resources, the invaders are trying to involve local residents in the fighting in the temporarily occupied territories.

Forced mobilization of men has begun in the city of Izyum.

From now on, men are allowed to pass through the checkpoint only if they have a military ticket.

The occupiers are breaking into the apartments of Izyum residents, looking for former anti-terrorist operation veterans and public activists.

Men began to agitate to join the "people's militia".

Forced mobilization in the occupied territories is a violation of Article 51 of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.  It strictly prohibits the occupying State from forcing persons under protection, ie those under the control of a party to the conflict or an occupying State of which they are not nationals, to serve in its armed or auxiliary forces.

I appeal to the UN Commission for Investigation Human Rights Violations during Russia's military invasion of Ukraine to take into account these facts of crimes and human rights violations in Ukraine.
