Note: competition for vacant positions of regional coordinators of public relations

A competition is announced to fill the vacancies of regional coordinators of public relations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Commissioner for Human Rights in Donetsk (located in Mariupol), Kyiv, Ternopil and Zakarpattia regions.

The main purpose of the regional coordinators is to ensure the implementation of the functions of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights (hereinafter - the Secretariat) at the regional level, in particular, ensuring the availability of personal receptions in all administrative units of Ukraine.

Regional coordinators of public relations carry out activities in the following areas:

- monitoring the state of observance of human rights and freedoms in the respective regions;

-Participation in monitoring visits, including to places of detention;

- ensuring the interaction of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with civil society institutions in the regions, development of draft agreements, agreements, memoranda of cooperation with them;

- participation in the organization and holding of educational, training events, meetings, conferences, seminars, round tables, involvement of scientists, specialists, independent experts;

- implementation of measures to promote legal awareness of the population;

- reception of applications of citizens for the purpose of further transfer for consideration to the Secretariat.

 Candidates who meet the following criteria are invited to participate in the competition:

- experience in human rights and / or available legal education;

- knowledge of the Constitution of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine "On the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights", and other legal documents;

-sociability;

- honesty.

The experience of participating in monitoring visits within the framework of the implementation of the national preventive mechanism, in the monitoring campaigns of the UMDPL Association or in the campaigns of other human rights organizations and initiatives is welcome.

Persons who:

declared incapable in the prescribed manner;

have not removed or expunged conviction for committing an intentional crime or who during the last year imposed an administrative penalty for committing a corruption offense;

Persons wishing to participate in the competition shall submit the following documents in electronic form to the competition commission:

resume;

motivation letter;

two recommendations from human rights organizations;

certificate of no (presence) of a criminal record.

The competition is held in 2 stages:

- reception and consideration of documents;

-interview.

The results of the first stage of the competition will be announced within 7 days from the date of completion of the documents.

The competition is held in accordance with the Regulation "On the Procedure for Conducting a Competition to Fill Vacant Positions of Regional Coordinators of Public Relations of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine".
