Уповноважений: у Запорізькій області викрадають людей через проукраїнську позицію та відмову співпрацювати з окупантами

In the Zaporizhia region, russian military terrorists have already abducted 106 people, including 21 local officials and two journalists. Today, 63 people remain in captivity, including 10 officials and one journalist.

The reasons for the abductions are the pro-Ukrainian position and the refusal to cooperate with the occupiers.

28-year-old Crimean Tatar Asan Ablyamitov was abducted in the village of Yakymivka, Melitopol district, Zaporizhia region.

The day before, 8 russian soldiers broke into the house where the boy lives.  The boy was not at home at that time.  Neighbors reported that he had been searched.

To clarify the situation, Asan called his father, but one of the soldiers picked up the phone and threatened to kill Asan and forced him to return home.

After that the boy was forcibly taken away in an unknown direction.  For the second day there is no information about him.

In the village of Verkhniy Tokmak, Zaporizhia Oblast, invaders drive through houses looking for ATO members and weapons.  Homes are being searched, people are being beaten, men are being abducted and taken away in an unknown direction.  Villagers are threatened with reprisals.

Such actions by russian militants grossly violate the right to liberty and security of citizens of Ukraine guaranteed by Articles 3 and 34 of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, Article 9 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and Article 5 of the European Convention on Human Rights.

I appeal to the UN Commission for Investigation Human Rights Violations during Russia's Military Invasion of Ukraine and the expert mission set up by the OSCE participating States under the Moscow Mechanism to take into account these Russian war crimes and human rights violations in Ukraine.
