In the temporarily occupied Crimea, new searches were held in the apartment of representatives of the Crimean Tatars

At 6.30 am, officers of the Russian Center for Countering Extremism, the FSB and the riot police broke into Server Bariyev's house in the village of Rozdolne and conducted a search without explaining the reasons.  The Server is a dentist by profession and a civic activist.

At about 9 am, the man was taken out of the house and, according to preliminary data, taken to Simferopol.

Searches of Ukrainian citizens' homes in the temporarily occupied Crimea contradict international norms and are a direct violation of Article 5 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, which guarantees everyone the right to privacy, and Article 8 of the Convention - respect for family life.

I appeal to the UN Commission for Investigation Human Rights Violations during the Russian Military Invasion of Ukraine and the expert mission set up by the OSCE participating States in accordance with the Moscow Mechanism to take into account these facts of Russian human rights violations in Ukraine.
