Commissioner: Rashists expropriate apartments of Ukrainian citizens in Mariupol

The rashists began expropriating the homes of Mariupol residents who had left the occupied territories, occupying unknown people in their homes.

A resident of the Mariupol village of Stary Krym learned that strangers live in her house.  Moreover, the so-called village council, which operates under the DPR flag, gave them permission to do so.

This is not an isolated case when racists settle in other people's houses and apartments those people whom they left without a roof over their heads.

"New residents" sometimes do not even give things to the owners when they come for them.  This shows that total arbitrariness and lawlessness prevail in the occupied territories.

By doing so, the occupiers violate the right to property guaranteed by Article 33 of the 1949 Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.

I appeal to the UN Commission for Investigation Human Rights Violations during the Russian Military Invasion of Ukraine to take into account these facts of Russian war crimes and human rights violations in Ukraine.
