Russian hackers are threatening some Ukrainian media outlets to destroy their websites

The media reported that the mailboxes inbox.ru and list.ru two Zaporizhzhya websites infоrm.zp.ua and 061.ua began receiving threats from the hacker group Noname057 (16) regarding cyberattacks on them,  if they "do not stop the wave of fakes about russia."

Currently, both sites are operating normally.

Similar threats come to other Ukrainian media outlets, including the Volyn media.

In addition, a number of regional media outlets have shut down due to threats from the russian occupiers, their seizure of newsrooms and the inability to work under temporary occupation.

Cyber threats to the media pose a significant danger, as the purpose of capturing media resources may be their further use for russian propaganda.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, there have been numerous DDoS attacks on the websites of Ukrainian online media and NGOs covering Russia's war against Ukraine.

Such actions violate Articles 8 and 10 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and the 1949 Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.

I appeal to the UN Commission for Investigation Human Rights Violations during Russia's military invasion of Ukraine to take into account this fact of Russia's human rights violations in Ukraine.
