The troops of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation are deliberately destroying Ukrainian enterprises and institutions, depriving civilians of the right to work

During the two months of the war, the russian army destroyed 154 factories and enterprises, 1508 educational institutions (including 408 kindergartens), including 102 institutions that can not be restored, 347 health care facilities (36 can not be restored), 109 cultural facilities, 11 civilian  airports, 2 ports and port infrastructure.

On April 24, 2022, nine russian missiles hit the infrastructure of the city of Kremenchug, Poltava region.  Yesterday the aggressor fired missiles at 5 railway stations in Ukraine.

By destroying civilian infrastructure, the aggressor violates the right to life and health of workers, destroys jobs, depriving workers and their families of livelihoods.

The aggressor does not abide by the Additional Protocol to the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949, relating to the Protection of Victims of International Armed Conflicts (Protocol I), of 8 June 1977 (DP I).  According to Article 51 of IA, the civilian population as such, as well as individual civilians, should not be attacked.  Acts of violence or threats of violence aimed at terrorizing the civilian population are prohibited.

The killing of civilians, shelling of civilian cities and civilian objects by the aggressor army is war crimes and crimes against humanity under Articles 7 and 8 of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and gross violation of the four Geneva Conventions of 1949 and its Additional Protocols.

I appeal to the UN Commission for Investigation Human Rights Violations during Russia's military invasion of Ukraine to take into account these facts of war crimes and human rights violations in Ukraine.
