In the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhia region, rashist criminals terrorize the civilian population

The russian occupiers are blocking the departure of men from Melitopol in order to forcibly mobilize them into the russian army.

At the checkpoints, the rashists offer Melitopol residents to join the armed forces of the occupying country.

Currently, people are being forcibly deported by deception, having previously caused panic among the civilian population in order to forcibly mobilize.

Residents of Melitopol began receiving text messages inviting them to leave for the temporarily occupied Crimea because of the alleged threat of "shelling of peaceful neighborhoods."

Forced mobilization in the occupied territories is a violation of Article 51 of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.  It strictly prohibits the occupying State from forcing persons under protection, ie those under the control of a party to the conflict or an occupying State of which they are not nationals, to serve in its armed or auxiliary forces.

Terror, cruel and degrading treatment of civilians in the occupied territories is a war crime under the Statute of the International Military Tribunal and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, and a violation of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.

I appeal to the UN Commission for Investigation Human Rights Violations during the Russian Military Invasion of Ukraine to take into account these facts of war crimes and human rights violations in Ukraine.
