Commissioner: In the temporarily occupied territories, racists are forced to resume training under the Russian program

In one of the occupied communities of Zaporizhia, rashist threats are forcing teachers to resume their studies on May 2 under the russian program.

According to information from partner human rights organizations monitoring the situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, several dozen educators were forced to resign in order to avoid cooperation with the enemy.

However, the "head of the education department of the village council", which has cooperated with rashists, threats and blackmail, demands that teachers go to work.  In conversations with the parents, she threatens to deprive graduates of their high school diplomas.

Educators are also "ordered" to prepare a "holiday" in schools until May 9, according to all the canons of russian propaganda.

Involving children in training near an active combat zone poses a direct threat to their lives and safety and is a direct violation of Article 38 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child

Imposing education on the occupying country is contrary to Article 29 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, which states that the child's education should be aimed at fostering respect for the child's parents, cultural identity, language and national values   of the child's country of origin.

I appeal to the UN Commission for Investigation Human Rights Violations during Russia's military invasion of Ukraine to take into account these facts of war crimes and Russia's violations of children's rights in Ukraine.
