The fighting of the aggressor's troops threatens ecological catastrophes in Ukraine

On March 21, in Sumy, enemy aircraft fired on the territory of the factory “Sumyhimprom”.

As a result of the bombing, the ammonia tank was damaged.

Units of the State Emergency Service are carrying out work on the deposition of ammonia clouds.  Currently, the affected area is about 2.5 km.

Targeted shelling of high-risk targets that target civilians and the environment is nothing more than an ecocide.

Such acts constitute a gross violation of Article 38 I of the Protocol to the Geneva Convention, which prohibits the use of methods or means of warfare which are intended to cause, or are expected to cause, widespread, long-term and serious damage to the environment.

Our partners abroad must take all measures to stop the Russian military invasion of Ukraine and ensure environmental security in Ukraine and Europe.
