A joint meeting of the Regional Office of the Commissioner with partner public organizations took place in Ivano-Frankivsk Region

A joint meeting of the staff of the regional office of the Ukrainian Parliament's Commissioner for Human Rights in Ivano-Frankivsk and representatives of partner public organizations of the region took place in the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council.

The event was attended by representatives of public organizations "D.O.M.48.24", "Kolping Family in Prykarpattia", "Center for Political Studies in Ivano-Frankivsk region", "Ivano-Frankivsk Public Regional Association of Persons with Disabilities", Legal Clinic " Themis ”of the Precarpathian Faculty of the National Academy of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, regional branches of the Association of Ukrainian Cities and“ Ukraine without Torture ”, charity foundations“ Caritas-Ivano-Frankivsk ”and“ West Chance ”, as well as a representative of the Government Commissioner for Disabilities in Ivano-Frankivsk Frankivsk Regional State Administration, the management of the Regional Center for Free Secondary Legal Aid in Ivano-Frankivsk Region and monitors of the national preventive mechanism.

The participants of the meeting summed up the activities of the Commissioner's regional office in Ivano-Frankivsk region and the results of cooperation with civil society institutions in 2021, and worked out joint measures to ensure the implementation of memoranda of cooperation in 2022, taking into account the Commissioner's strategic activities for the current year. .

Svitlana Demyanchuk, Regional Coordinator of Public Relations of the Commissioner for Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, also noted that one of the priority areas of the Commissioner's regional office in the region remains to strengthen cooperation with civil society institutions, and called on all participants legal awareness of the population on human and civil rights and freedoms, mechanisms for their implementation and protection.

Lyudmyla Nepiyvoda, Regional Representative of the Commissioner for Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, thanked the participants for their active public position in the field of human rights protection and expressed readiness to provide coordination of actions of civil activists and organizations to improve human rights and freedoms.
