Oleksandr Dvornik and Denis Homenyuko "Novotroitskoe" of Donetsk region in order to verify compliance with the rights of citizens when crossing the line of demarcation.
The Novotroitskoye entry-exit checkpoint is the only operating checkpoint in the Donetsk region through which the line of demarcation with the ORDO is crossed. In addition, the following checkpoints have been established and opened in the Donetsk region under the control of the Ukrainian government: Gnutovo, Marinka, and Majorske.
In 2021, the Novotroitske CPVV underwent a major reconstruction, during which the Novotroitske CPVV was equipped with modern buildings and structures, which is maintained by the Reintegration and Reconstruction State Enterprise of the Ministry of Reintegration and Reconstruction of Ukraine.
Citizens' rights to proper living conditions are ensured at the CPVR: there are separate facilities for entry and exit from the territory controlled by the Government of Ukraine, equipped with heating and air conditioning systems, scanners for non-contact inspection, equipped workplaces for State Border Guard Service passport control on entry and exit. In addition to these facilities, there are modules with sanitary rooms, rooms for law enforcement officers, a medical aid station, which, in turn, are also equipped with autonomous heating systems.
During the visit it was established that on average 100-150 citizens cross the CPVR per day.
In addition to law enforcement agencies, the Novotroitskoye CPVV provides assistance to citizens during the crossing of the demarcation line. The Center for Free Secondary Legal Aid, as well as the humanitarian organizations Right to Protection and Red Cross Ukraine citizens while crossing the line of demarcation with the ORDO.
During the visit, Konstantin Chernikov talked to citizens who cross the line of demarcation with the ORDO and clarified the legislation regarding the rights that citizens have when crossing the CPVR.
