Уповноважений звернулася до колег - омбудсманів сусідніх країн надати громадянам України допомогу та захист

Aggressive military actions of the armed forces of the Russian Federation, shelling of residential buildings and civilian infrastructure have led to mass violations of the right of Ukrainian citizens to life and security.  This forced part of the population to evacuate to safer regions of our country and to other countries.
According to the UN, at least 100,000 Ukrainians have already left their homes.
About 25,000 Ukrainian refugees have arrived in Moldova, with 430 asylum applications.
29,000 people passed through the border checkpoints from Ukraine to Poland. Our citizens are received by Slovakia, Romania and Hungary.
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reports tens of thousands of Ukrainians near checkpoints on the western borders.
I am addressing my fellow ombudsmen: the Advocate General of Moldova, Czeslaw Panico, the Polish Commissioner for Human Rights, Martin Vecek, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary, Akos Kozma, and the Slovak National Center for Human Rights and the Romanian Institute for Human Rights.  and protect and enforce their rights guaranteed by the UN Refugee Convention.
I express my gratitude to the leadership of your countries for the support of Ukraine and its people!
